Benjamin H. Anderson is the founding member of Anderson Law Offices, LLC in Cleveland, Ohio.  Ben has devoted his career of over two decades to pharmaceutical and medical device litigation and medical malpractice. He has tried numerous cases to verdict in courts around the country and has successfully resolved thousands of mass tort cases involving bad drugs and bad medical products and hundreds of medical malpractice cases.

Ben has served active litigation roles in national leadership as well as on steering committees, science/expert committees and discovery committees in numerous Federal Court Multi-District Litigations (“MDLs”) over the past 20 years including MDL 1057 (Teletronics Pacemaker Leads), MDL 1203 (Diet Pill), MDL 1401 (Sulzer Hip), MDL 1488 (Crown Victoria Rear Collision Fires), MDL 1643 (Educational Testing Services), MDL 1657 (Vioxx), MDL 1871 (Avandia), MDL 1909 (Gadolinium), MDL 2066 (Fleet) and most recently in the “Transvaginal Mesh Litigation” pending in both New Jersey State Court before the Honorable Carol Higbee as well as in Federal Court in the Southern District of West Virginia. in MDLs 2327 (Ethicon), 2326 (Boston Scientific), 2325 (AMS), 2387 (Coloplast) and 2440 (Cook).

In the Avandia litigation, Ben was lead trial counsel for the second Avandia case set to go to trial in early 2011.  However, he successfully resolved thousands of cases for ALO clients around the country in a confidential nine-figure settlement just weeks before the trial was set to begin.

Since 2011, Ben has been at the center of the Transvaginal Mesh (TVM) Litigation, one of the largest medical device cases in U.S. history with over 50,000 cases filed.  He was appointed to the TVM Plaintiffs' Steering Committee by the Honorable Judge Joseph Goodwin in 2012 and was also appointed as Co-Chair of the Science and Expert Committee for all of the TVM MDLs and appointed National Co-Lead of the Cook TVM Litigation.  Ben tried the first Johnson & Johnson/Ethicon transvaginal mesh case in January-February 2013 in the State Court of New Jersey, Atlantic County before the Hon. Judge Carol Higbee, obtaining an $11.11 million verdict on behalf of the plaintiffs.  Ben proudly represents thousands more women in mesh litigations in Federal and State courts across the country who are suffering from these dangerous TVM products.

Mr. Anderson has been invited to speak on numerous occasions at attorney education conferences throughout the United States in the areas of medical malpractice and mass torts and has taught trial skills to attorneys attending NITA conferences and law students on law school trial teams and in moot court competitions.  Mr. Anderson is frequently asked by attorneys across the country to co-counsel on pharmaceutical and medical device cases as well as medical malpractice cases.  Anderson Law Offices is proud of that fact that its principal source of business continues to be through referrals from other attorneys and former clients.

Mr. Anderson is admitted to practice before all of the courts of California and Ohio, the U.S. District Court, Central and Northern Districts of California and the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Ohio.  He is an active member of the American Association for Justice and was also appointed to the Board of Trustees for the Ohio Association for Justice which is the largest organization of trial lawyers in the State of Ohio.
